QUALIFYING ROUND
HORNETS PITCH
3 points for a win, 2 points for a score draw and one point for a no-score draw.
Qualifying group placings determined by most points, then results between the team(s) involved, then goal difference and then most scored.
If this method does not separate the teams, since all 4 teams qualify and so as not to pressure individual players by taking penalties, a coin will be used to finalise positions.
These games will follow the usual Trinians principles with group games lasting 15 minutes and the semi-finals and final games lasting 20 minutes, each with a minimal half time.
FINAL STAGES
HORNETS PITCH
SEMI FINALS
Final stage games are determined by most goals. If this method does not separate the teams, penalties
will be taken in accordance with the International Board Decision.
In the event of a game having to be decided on penalties your first concern should not be elation for the
player who scores the goal but sympathy for the player who misses … as at least one inevitably will.
Please do not cheer unforced errors by these youngsters who may not be able to cope with such poor behaviour.
These games will be, in many cases, one of the girls’ first experiences of competitive football, and similarly
for some of the keen spectators.
The girls will undoubtedly respect all refereeing decisions without question and will naturally show both
modesty in victory and cheerfulness in defeat. We expect all spectators to do the same and not to
embarrass any players.
