This is the old Colts Cup Competition and will be open to the remaining SIX Teams who didn’t qualify from the main Coopers Cup phase. A one-day tournament will take place on Saturday 12th March with the top two teams progressing to the Cup Final on 31st March
It is hoped that this will keep all the teams in the hunt for silverware right up to the last two weeks
of the season.
The Smart Cup games will follow the usual MLL principles with group games lasting 15 minutes each with a minimal half time. Qualifying group placings will be determined by most points, 3 points for a win, 2 points
for a score draw and one point for a no-score draw. Then results between the team(s) involved, then goal difference and then most scored- if the score is still level penalties will be taken. The top two teams will progress to the Cup Final
"In the Coopers, Mays, Smart, and Challenge Cups Group stages, the result between the two teams, goal difference, goals scored will be the main criteria in the event of teams on level points".
